What is a miniature puzzle?
A miniature puzzle is a puzzle with very small puzzle pieces. The pieces are typically 1-1.5 cm. You assemble the puzzle exactly as you would assemble ordinary larger puzzles: You can sort the pieces, start with the edge pieces, look for the 4 corner pieces, and start with the colors you find most interesting. It's a slightly more delicate task, and that's part of what makes a mini puzzle so much fun to assemble.
Beautiful illustrations
The motifs for the small puzzles are designed by 8 female designers from around the world. Each motif has its own theme, its own style, and its own messages. The themes for the illustrations are Christmas, summer, friendship, adventure, and home coziness. Common to all motifs is that they are cheerful, and you will be in a good mood after assembling a small, quick puzzle.
You can find the 8 talented designers on Instagram, among other places. They are: @helen_dardik, @yumikitagishi, @gaiamarfurt, @lunettedeparul, @victoriaball_, @bettinacronquist, @jane_newland and @hebe.studio.
150 Pieces for adults
Penny Puzzle is the name of the mini puzzles you can find here. It is a new Danish brand for adults with beautiful designs. The beautiful illustrations require concentration. In return, you are guaranteed a break from everyday life for immersion.
Mini puzzle as an almond prize
The many beautiful motifs are perfect for a small gift for Christmas, as a hostess gift when visiting friends and family, or if you've been tasked with providing the almond prize of the year. You can easily assemble one or two of the small puzzles while others do the dishes after Christmas dinner. The motifs only measure 10 x 15 cm. This is the size of a postcard, and you also get a print of the entire motif in the small box.
You can give one, two, or more of these small puzzles as an almond prize to the person who finds the whole almond in the ris à l'amande on Christmas Eve. During the Christmas holidays, when most of us are off, a puzzle is always a cozy activity to relax with, and more than one person can help put the pieces in place.
Penny Puzzle is Danish design
Although the name sounds English, it is pure Danish design. The woman behind the design is Bettina Cronquist, owner of Butik Box Quiz. Bettina is a mother of 3 girls, married to Bjørn, and lives in Helsingør. Bettina has been designing games since 2011 and currently has over 170 different games, including the Box Quiz quizzes, board games, card games, and puzzles, for adults and children on her CV.
The idea for the mini puzzles came in 2020, when many new beautiful puzzles appeared, but they were all so large. Bettina loves small games, so it was obvious that the new series of puzzles should be mini puzzles. The collaboration with 8 female international artists is something Bettina has dreamed of for many years, so with the launch of the puzzles in the Penny Puzzle series, a long-cherished dream has come true.
