99-piece mini puzzle from Penny Puzzle titled Crimson Vines by E. A. Séguy

About E. A. Séguy

E. A. Séguy (1877–1951) was a French designer, illustrator, and pioneering decorative artist, best known for his colorful Art Deco portfolios featuring insects, butterflies, flowers, and decorative patterns. Although very little is known about his private life, his work has had a lasting influence on graphic design, textiles, wallpaper, and interior decoration.

Using innovative pochoir techniques, where motifs were hand-stenciled, he created richly colored images known for their precision and elegance. His publications, including Papillons, Insectes, and Floréal, combined scientific observation with artistic imagination.

Today, Séguy's timeless designs remain highly sought after by collectors and continue to inspire artists, designers, and creatives worldwide.
