1000-piece jigsaw puzzle from Pomegranate The Embarkation
With a turbulent sea, fluttering sails, and cannons ready for battle, this maritime motif takes you 500 years back in time to the coast of England. With flags flying, Henry VIII leads a fleet out of the harbor in Dover aboard the *Henry Grace à Dieu*. The ship, which was the world's largest warship at the time, is sailing toward a peace summit with Francis I of France. The two men hoped to be remembered as true Renaissance kings – strong enough to rule through diplomacy. Although the meeting – which later became known as the "Field of the Cloth of Gold" – had no major long-term significance, the lavish spectacle was immortalized in two paintings for Whitehall Palace and subsequently recreated by countless artists over the centuries. Embark on your own journey of peace as you explore the details and grandeur of this 1,000-piece jigsaw puzzle.
